Furthermore, who can predict what generative AI will look like in two more year, given that the most influential corporation in the world are still investing billions in it? Sam Altman, CEO of ChatGPT creator OpenAI, recently gave us some clue about its future trajectory, as entertaining as it can be to make wild guesses. Altman hinted strongly about what we should expect to see next. GPT-5, the most potent model to date of the massive language model engine that drives ChatGPT, will be among them. GPT-5: What is it? Building the GPT architecture and using advancement from reasoning model such as o1 and o3, GPT-5 is OpenAI's next-generation AI model. We can see some of these improvements in GPT-4.5, which gives us an idea of what's to come. The structure reasoning in GPT-5 is one of the most significant change. GPT-4o concentrated on speed. GPT-5 provides a more seamless experience by adapting dynamically rather than requiring distinct models for various task. Multimodal capabilities are another important improvement. Real-time text, image, and speech processing was first offered by GPT-4o. GPT-5 seek to extend this by enabling more complex interaction across many input kind. Updates to the OpenAI Roadmap for GPT-4.5 and GPT-5 Simplifying: OpenAI wants to make AI "just work" for people, while still acknowledging the complexity of their present model offers. The "model picker" will be eliminated, and a more cohesive experience will be produced. GPT-4.5 (Orion): Internally known as "Orion," this model will be the next to be launched. Their final model that does not employ chain-of-thought reasoning will be this one. Unified GPT-5 System: After GPT-4.5, the "o-series" (such as o1) and "GPT-series" models are to be combined. One of the many technologies that will be included into GPT-5 is what they are referring to as "o3." O3 won't be offered as a stand-alone model. Integrated Capabilities: GPT-5 will be able to do a variety of activities and integrate a large number of tools. Tiers of Pricing Free Tier: GPT-5 will be available to ChatGPT's free tier users limitlessly in a "standard intelligence setting," provided that abuse protection mechanisms are in place. Additionally, subscribers: will be able to access the GPT-5 at a higher degree of intelligence. Access to the GPT-5 at an even greater level of intelligence will be available to Pro Subscribers. These higher tiers will include deep research capabilities, speech, canvas, and search, among other things. This update makes it clear that GPT-5 is a more comprehensive platform that incorporates numerous developments rather than being a single model. Additionally, it provides us with a clear order: GPT-4.5 first, followed by the combined GPT-5 system.
